Trados Copilot – AI Assistant brings pioneering generative translation capabilities to every Studio user. It lets you harness an LLM in a variety of ways to take translation to the next level when working in the desktop application.

You can use AI Assistant in a variety of ways:

Use the LLM as a translation provider
Add an editing prompt when batch-translating
Prompt for editing help in the desktop editor as you work
Use terminology-aware translation.

To access its powerful functionality, you need:

Trados Studio 2024. AI Assistant is exclusively available for our users on the latest version of our CAT tool.
An LLM subscription to your provider of choice. You currently have the choice of using OpenAI or Azure LLMs, with support for more providers planned in the future.

Please note: Currently, the OpenAI and Azure LLMS are available out-of-the-box with Trados Studio 2024. This means for the time being you don't need to download an app to access the LLMs, you only need a valid subscription. However, in future, you will need to download your chosen LLM from the RWS Appstore to be able to access AI Assistant’s functionality. Just as we’ve already made Studio your hub for access to MT, we intend to do the same for LLMs.
