What is Trados Copilot - AI Assistant and how do I access it in Trados Studio?
Trados Copilot – AI Assistant introduces generative AI capabilities to Trados Studio, helping translators boost productivity and enhance translation quality by integrating large language models (LLMs) directly into your desktop workflow.
You can use AI Assistant in several powerful ways:
- Use an LLM as a translation provider
- Apply editing prompts during batch translation
- Get real-time editing support while working in the desktop editor
- Perform terminology-aware translation
To access AI Assistant, you’ll need:
- Trados Studio 2024 – AI Assistant is exclusively available in the latest version.
- An active subscription with a supported LLM provider – Currently, OpenAI and Azure LLMs are supported, with more options planned.
Good to know: OpenAI and Azure LLMs are integrated out of the box in Trados Studio 2024. No additional downloads are required - simply connect your existing subscription to start using them.
